Day 11: 2.10.12. Morgan’s Landing Camping area in Coffin Bay NP

With no pack up required….we had time to relax over breakfast, some of the crew were up to see the sunrise and the moonset…namely Rohan. Then we did the tour of the Coffin Bay NP, this was a day of spectacular views, beautiful beaches, lots of Emus and chicks, roos, flowers etc. It took us all day to get around the sights of the south end of Coffin Bay NP.

·         The pool

·         Point Sir Isaac

·         Mullalong beach –where Col and Milani ventured in for a swim, it was pretty damn cold, I must say…my feet were frozen.

·         Reef point lookout

And to top off a perfect day

·         Sensation beach, which was a fabulous long, white beach, which we all loved.

There were two tractor tyres buried in the beach, which the boys decided to try and unbury to determine what it actually was, after some digging and some more digging and yet more digging, it was determined that it was probably not a tractor, but certainly something upside down in the sand.
On the return journey to camp we collected some wood for a much bigger fire. Communal tea for the Davey’s, Stuart’s, Davis & Cleaver crew of spuds in the fire, fried onions, steak and lamb straps on the hotplate over the fire, accompanied by broccoli, beans and carrots, with sour cream. Yummo.

Photosynth view along the tracks today. Beautiful blue waters and white sands.

more beautiful beach and blue waters. Maybe at The Pool?
